We were looking at buying the Sharp UX 300 Printer – Sharp UX 300 Toner, so off we went to do web searching to find information. The UX 300 Fax in our price range and we’re told it works just fine for what we need.
This takes plain fax paper, not the glossy roll which is inclined to fade and curl up. Like those cash register receipts you get at the gas pump that the ink disappears on after a few weeks.
The paper cassette holds up to 60 sheets of paper and the machine has 512 KB of document memory. Which means the fax machine stores approximately 30 pages in memory. There is a 10-sheet auto document feeder which allows up to 10 pages to be sent automatically. And there is a very useful copier function which will allow you to copy up to 99-page multi-copy which will come in handy for me.
This machine had a few ratings that we found on the interned and I’ve listed a couple of the good ones here.
This person says it is reliable and versatile and a great value.
I’ve had this Sharp UX-300 for a few years, and it’s always worked perfectly. Before I got a multi tasking computer printer, it was my home copying machine too! If you read the directions and take care of the machine, there should not be any problems. It’s a great Fax machine in this price range.
This fellow reviewed that he never has a single problem.
Sharp UX-300 for the years I’ve owned it has never failed me yet. I never have a paper jam problem. I find it a breeze to operate.
Five stars for this review: This item works really great if you read the manual
I had some paper jams at first and then I read the manual that came with it. You can not just add the paper. You have to first pull the paper tray open and place the paper, and then close it back up. If you just try to drop in the paper it will definitely jam. There could be better instructions for loading paper. With that one exception it works awesome.
This fax machine definitely does what it’s supposed to.
I can not comment on the paper jams, because I haven’t received any faxes yet, but I have sent some things out. It isn’t a fast fax, but it works fine. It is pretty cheap, and if you want a no-frills fax and aren’t in a hurry to send your documents, check this one out. I own a few Sharp electronics and I’m really satisfied with them. I don’t know that I’d want this in an office where I’m constantly sending and receiving faxes, but for occasional home use, it’s fine.
