As a practitioners you will learn enough of the craft to be able to heal yourself and others. The first level is for students, and the second level is for practitioners.

If you want to become a Reiki Master you will have to complete all three levels, and be given the master symbol. Your education will have to be thorough on the knowledge of the many symbols and concepts found in the art. And the most important thing is to use your knowledge in a practical way; conduct reiki sessions, before you begin to teach and attune others into the art. Why is this? Reiki will become a stronger energy if more practitioners and reiki master honestly practise it. Its all about intention and focus. If your focus is for the good of all in order to keep the reiki energy frequency high, than you should not undersell it, or just pretend to be a reiki master. If you learn it, use it! Don’t just collect it. Reiki is a beautiful thing. It can benefit many people. If your focus is just to make money, then in the end you are diminishing the effect of the reiki energy.

If you are thinking of becoming a reiki master, and you think your teacher is just wanting to make some fast cash then be extra careful. If you want to get the best training possible, find out the lineage of your teacher. Make sure they are legitimate.
