Dish Network Review

A Dish Network Review straight from the heart

Dish Network was the only option available to us when we moved into our current house – which really should be the only reason for anyone signing up. We had the widely reported hassles of getting local channels working and had to have a second outside dish installed. I am still not sure what the actual reason was.

The worst possible experience came about when we tried to cancel our Dish Network system. If you think trying to cancel your AOL email account is bad – try canceling Dish Network. Their operators are trained to harass you in trying to get you to keep at least some form of Dish Network system. After politely, and then not so politely, refusing all the options, I was eventually given a cancellation number and a final amount – with a promise that they would send repackaging boxes for the equipment to be returned.

Two days before I vacated my house, the promised boxes were still not here. This led me to phone again – only to be informed that the cancelation order was canceled by the automated payment system we used to pay the final amount. Now I honestly do not recall a prominent question asking me to cancel the cancelation – this must be something Dish Network is sneaking in to confuse people in cancelling a cancelation. Had I not phoned about the boxes my account would have been running, leading to unknown non-payment problems down the line.

So I cancelled again – and was given a new final amount. Viola – Dish Network’s sneaky way of fooling customers earned them another $11.22.

I hate Dish Network and will never use them again. I am not prepared to deal with companies that use sneaky and harassing methods to make money – and I sincerely hope that this review will make you think twice before you sign up with Dish Network.

Thank you for hearing me – I feel better now!
