To succeed at network marketing online, focusing on your prospect is one of the key elements to building a successful business. In many respects, there’s not a lot of difference to growing your business on or offline and one of the common mistakes networkers make is giving their prospects everything other than what they really want – you.
Here’s an example…you’ve just joned a network marketing business and your told to convince prospects that the company’s pay plan is the best or the company’s products are far superior to others and this is very noble but do you know that prospects really couldn’t care less about those things.
Well, let’s re-phrase for a moment…yes, those things are important but they are not as important as you in the whole scheme of things. Ask yourself this question…when you were looking for a business was there much difference to the way they were being presented. In other words, was their one oportunity on the home business landscape that stood out for the reasons mentioned above?
Probably not. And that’s because everybody promoting has a hot business opportunity and a way for you to make money. The same “neon signs” are everywhere and all saying exactly the same thing. What chance have they of being noticed?

- nothing is more important to a prospect who wants to succeed at network marketing online than knowing that there will be someone to guide them through the learning curve and “show them the ropes.”
- nothing is more important to a prospect knowing they have someone to deal with rather than getting involved in some opportunity.
The last point came up again for me recently when I received a call from a new prospect and he literally fell off his chair when I answered the phone. He said that’s not normal…you don’t usually get the chance to talk to a real, live person. He didn’t want to take up too much of my time rather, he wanted to know that if he had a question, he could either call or email someone with it and expect to get an answer within a day.
Can you see how important this is to succeeding at network marketing online? Sell yourself instead of just another business opportunity and you’ll begin to master one of the key principles in attraction marketing.
This is a people business and it doesn’t matter if you’re marketing on or offline. The fact is people join people in MLM. That’s key in building a successful business and separating yourself from the rest of the crowd out there all pushing the same message.
