Business Objectives for Russian Document Translation, Arabic Language Translation, and Japanese Translation Organizations

Unlike a laboratory environment, business decisions are made in a dynamic environment that is constantly changing and where the objectives are not always clear.While the last decade has witnessed many unethical business practices, Japanese Language Translation investors must have faith in the ability of business leaders to make ethical decisions that improve the price of common stock. While stock price should be weighted most importantly, and there are often other factors that play into how business decisions are made. For instance, a corporate leader might consider how his actions will influence his own wellbeing, the wellbeing of fellow workers and perhaps society in general. While a manager may consider a variety of factors when making a decision, stock price maximization must be weighted most important. By definition of the corporate structure of business, Arabic Translation stockholders own the firm and exercise the power to nominate and elect the management board. The management team that is elected by stockholders must therefore act in an ethical way that is in line with the interests of stockholders..

But while the responsibility of the management team seems clearly defined, often different groups of stockholders emerge that have different objectives. However, this can sometimes result in the adoption of policies that aren't always in the best interest of profit maximization. For example, some have argued that the managers of a large, well-entrenched corporation could work just hard enough to keep stockholder returns at a reasonable level and then devote the remainder of their efforts and resources to public service activities, to employee benefits, to higher executive salaries, or to golf.

It is almost impossible to determine whether a particular management team is trying to maximize shareholder wealth or is merely attempting to keep stockholders satisfied while pursuing other goals. Similarly, can a Russian Translation professional show one way or another that worker incentive programs or charitable donations benefit the value of a stock or even if executive recruitment packages that are often extraordinarily high necessary? However, if the intentions of managers don't fit the needs of the majority of stockholders then you can count on that manager or management team being replaced by more suitable candidates. In cases where the management team has not acted in the best interests of stockholders, there have been hostile takeover attempts and proxy fights.

A hostile takeover allows a suitor to bypass a target company's management unwilling to agree to a merger or takeover. A takeover is considered "hostile" if the target company's board rejects the offer, but the bidder continues to pursue it, or the bidder makes the offer without informing the target company's board beforehand. In a hostile takeover, the management team often tried to raise the price of the stock for self preservation purposes. They may also try to make the stock seem unattractive to potential investors.

While on the topic of managerial decision-making in a corporate environment, one should also consider the importance of social contribution. The question often arises as to whether businesses should operate in ways that only serve the needs or stockholders or if they should also seek to opportunities to give back to their employees, customers and community.

There is little doubt that corporations have a moral obligation to provide a clean, safe working environment and to do their best to be good corporate citizens by not polluting the earth. The dilemma is that these costs cannot be traced back to future profitability or benefits rececognized by stockholders. If some firms do act in a socially responsible manner while others do not, then the socially responsible firms will be at a disadvantage in attracting capital.
